After School Judo Club

We are delighted to be able to offer Judo as an after school club in conjunction with Chris Syrett who is the head coach of Shishi Kai Judo, a large family run judo club based in Edinburgh. Chris has recently moved to Roslin and is keen to bring his Judo Club into Midlothian with Roslin Primary School his first priority. Chris has been running Judo clubs in Edinburgh for many years with great success and is now hoping to bring the same fun and enjoyment to the pupils of Roslin Primary.

Pupils had the opportunity to take part in a Judo taster session today, Wednesday 7th March, with the Judo club then beginning after the Easter holiday in April.

Judo sessions will take place on a Wednesday after school. If interest is high Chris plans to run a class for Primary 2 to Primary 4 pupils between 3.15pm and 4.00pm and then a class for Primary 5 to Primary 7 pupils from 4.15pm and 5.00pm. Pupils will receive further information and booking forms after their taster session on Wednesday.

Sessions will cost £4 per week and unlike Active Schools sports clubs Judo sessions will run throughout the whole school year.
