Mining Museum Report
On Wednesday the 20th of January 2016,classes P5 and P6 from Roslin Primary School went on a trip to the Scottish Mining Museum. One of the activities was bridge building. The idea was for the children to get a grasp on civil engineering. Everybody was interacting in this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Another activity was getting a tour around the Museum itself. It was a very educational tour and the pupils all seemed to enjoy it very much. Here are some quotes from the children about the trip.
By Alasdair Brown P5/6 & Sarah McEwan P5/6
Ross P6- “I enjoyed getting to build the bridge the most because everybody was helping each other.” Blair P6- “It was exciting because we went down to the coal face.” Lucy P6- “I enjoyed seeing all the machines work”. Charlie P5- “I learnt a lot of things because it showed how everything worked”. Alasdair P5- “We learnt all the dangers of the Mine and to be safe around the Mine.” Everybody really enjoyed their trip and learnt lots of new things.
