P1 Bookbug Bags

Your free Primary 1 Bookbug Bag

Your child will receive a free bag of books and activities from the Scottish Government’s Read, Write, Count campaign, on Monday 21st November.

Your child’s P1 Bookbug Bag will contain:

  • Three picture books – Hare and Tortoise, There’s a Bear on My Chair and Shark in the Park on a Windy Day. These are the 3 finalists for the Bookbug Picture Book Prize
  • A voting slip – but your child will have the opportunity to vote in class
  • An activity book
  • Coloured pencils
  • Magnetic whiteboard, magnetic numbers & a whiteboard pen
  • An information sheet with suggestions of how to support numeracy at home

The bag is designed to help you and your child to have fun with reading, writing and counting at home. To allow time for you to enjoy these gift bags with your child, the class teachers will not set reading homework this week.  Instead, we would like you to begin sharing the stories and activities,  contained in the bag, with your child.
