Pentland Piano Festival
I am writing to inform you about the Pentland Piano Festival which is taking place on Saturday 18th March 2017 in Penicuik South Kirk. This new non-competitive event has been created to be a celebration of all piano music; providing an opportunity for pianists of all ages and abilities to perform on a Steinway grand piano in an excellent acoustic environment. The day will be divided into a series of ability related sessions where pianists are encouraged to come along and perform a piece of their choice in any style in front of a small audience (comprising other performers and parents). An experienced adjudicator will be on hand at each session to offer encouragement, support and suggestions to the performers.
In the evening it is hoped that as many of the performers as possible will return to participate in a public concert. The concert will begin at 7.30pm and we welcome relatives and friends to come along. Tickets will be priced at £5; Concession £4 and accompanied children under 16 years of age can attend for free!
