Eco-Schools Green Flag Award for Roslin!

We are delighted to announce that Roslin Primary has successfully gained Eco-Schools Green Flag Award status.

Everyone involved worked tremendously hard and the result is an achievement to be proud of.  Here is an extract from the Assessment Report:

“I enjoyed reading your Green Flag application and thought you had made a sounds start to your Eco journey, working hard to reduce waste in school through your links with the Community Trade Waste Officer.  You have integrated your environmental work thoroughly into the curriculum and calendar via Eco-themed class topics and events such as Green Day & Water Week.  In addition, you have monitored progress well and shared your successes with the wider community via your newsletters, website and Twitter feed.  Furthermore, you are to be commended for your awareness-raising of Fairtrade in school and for your generous support of worthwhile charities such as Water-Aid, both of which will feed in well to your exploration of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as part of your future Eco activities”.
