Change to Length of School Day: P1 & P2

P1 and P2 school day change Aug 17

This letter is to give you early notice of a change to the length of the school day for all P1 and P2 pupils in Midlothian from August 2017.

In Midlothian we are committed to ensuring all pupils, including P1 and P2 pupils, have 25 hours’ class contact time per week.  Schools will take account of each child’s ability to manage this slightly longer day and this will be reflected in the learning activities planned for the children.

This will also help parents as all children will finish at the same time of 3.15pm.
